For the 2024 tax year, you have until April 30th, 2025 to file without penalty. Those with self-employed income have until June 15th to file their returns. Reminder! Self-employed individuals still need to pay their balance by April 30th.
You should receive most of your slips and receipts by February 28th. T3 (investment income) and T5013 (statement of partnership income) are not required to be distributed until March 31st. It's important to review your sources of income and your deductions to make sure that nothing is missing. Our tax checklist is a great place to start!
We do not offer cash-back or instant refund options. We electronically file your return to the CRA. In most cases your refund is directly deposited into your bank account within 5 business days. This means no hidden fees or keeping a percentage of your refund!
The CRA's goal is to send your refund within two weeks of filing electronically. In most cases, clients receive their refund in 5 business days.

Absolutely! We are happy to prepare Personal Income Tax Returns for new and returning clients. We are not currently seeking new accounts for bookkeeping and corporate tax preparation.

Although it is not necessary to provide us with a paper copy of your tax documents, it is important to give us a list of slips that we should look to retrieve from the CRA's database. It is possible that you have a slip that has not yet been made available to us from the CRA and vice versa.
Yes, every tax filing requires the signature of the taxpayer or their legal representative. If you are a new client we will also ask you to also sign an authorization form that will allow us to interact with the Canada Revenue Agency on your behalf.
No, you do not need to attend in person. You can have a trusted person deliver your tax documents and we can connect with you over the phone, or you can use our Virtual Tax Service to file your return 100% remotely.
Yes, with their permission, we are happy to have you drop off or pick up tax documents on their behalf. You cannot sign your spouses tax return on their behalf, but we have a few options for making this process easy for you.
